Valentine's Poetry

Sprinkle1
Guest Writer

Hey, everyone. Sprinkle1 here, reporting to you about a special poetry contest I'm having.

Valentines Day is creeping up on us like a lion hunts its prey -- are you prepared? I sure am. Anyway, I'm having a poetry contest where you will tell me what Valentine's means to you. Here's the catch: it has to be in poetry form. That does not mean it has to rhyme, but it can. Here are some examples.

Rhyming Rhythms:

    Valentines is a special day
Where we can run around and play,
Hearts fill the air and Lovebirds sing songs
and this is a poem now hand me those tongs
    I need some fruit salad
    and I need it quick
but I don't have to be good
    because there's no St. Nick!

Serious Singsongs

Cupid shoots an arrow into my heart,
    and it crumbles to pieces
    because we did part
    I miss all your laughter
and I even miss our tears
but Valentine's is here, so let's give a cheer!

Okay, so what if I can't write it, I'm just the judge!!! Send me your entries, I can't wait to read them!!!!

This is Sprinkle 1, and I'm out...
