True friends come and go and whether or not, someday you will never see those friends again. Those precious moments you have spent together are just a blurry memory. When someone is a true friend they are loyal, caring, honest and never envious. They are always there when you fall and they are with you through tough times and never let you go. They don't force you to do something you do not want to do. They are there when you need them most and there to listen. If one friend does not have these valuable qualities, believe it or not, they are not true friends.

There are those friends that are untruthful but there are also those who are peers, and that's where peer pressure evolves. Peer Pressure is sometimes hard to resist, it's like a black hole, sucking you into its abyss. Sometimes it may lead to worse things like, smoking, drugs, or alcohol. I think that the main reason people give in to peer pressure would be the excuse of losing your "coolness" or even losing your friends. I have always felt the pressure of this but I try my hardest to resist it.

It's really hard to pass by at this age because of the need to have friends, get invites to parties or to just feel like you fit in. It's not worth your health to be sucked into this picture of cool, it is even more worth it if you be yourself and keep those true friends. True friends are those who keep their promises. They tell you what they are really feeling, and you can tell them anything no matter what. If you don't know how to keep a secret, or if you try to demand something on your friend that they don't want to do, you are dictating their life and not being a true friend.

When people don't take an interest in you, honestly you would feel bad and useless. It's happened to all of us and it just not a great feeling of being ignored or feeling as if you don't belong. It's just the feeling of not being important enough of cool enough because of what choices you made that you felt are better for you. The high school life is hard and people like me have to deal with this each and every day. You have to deal with everyday fights and friendship malfunctions. When I see something like this being done, it makes me think if that friend is really true to them, for what they are fighting for it might not be worth it to keep that friend. If you find that one true friend, hold on to them, and hold them and never let them go because the can easily slip away from your arms and get into something wrong. Peer Pressure, it's hard to resist but easy to ignore. True friends, they are easy to talk to but hard to keep.
