Author's Note: This was inspired by the music video for "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2 that was shot on March 27, 1987 on the streets of Los Angeles on top of a liquor store where U2 made a surprise performance and thousands of people joined together to dance and celebrate their music (in the streets).

Someday there's gonna be a heaven on earth. There will be a day when it's alright to dance on a roof or talk to random strangers about life. There's gonna be a day where it'll be alright to scream "I love you!" in the streets.

Somehow, we'll all be united. We'll hear music and sing along in circles in the middle of a busy New York street. There are going to be days where crying will be accepted as an expression of happiness. We'll raise our hands in the air and scream with joy.

There's going to be a time where being a real artist makes you something, where writers are no longer crazy but considered geniuses. Where politicians are labeled as liars and we'll finally know the truth.

There's going to be a single moment where everything is going to melt away and we really won't care about what the world thinks of us. There's going to be a single second where I'll realize time really is a stupid illusion. It'll be okay to wear sneakers in a high class society and all mini skirts and booze shall be burned.

I once read that "life is like a box of crayons."

"They're all different colors. Some are beautiful, some have weird names, but they all live in the same box."

I want to live in that box, the big ninety-six pack I have at home, the one with the crayon sharpener so we'll all have the same "point-"of-view.

At last, it'll be okay if we're dirty and maybe we'll all find our soulmates. We'll find a best friend on the other side of world and time will come back around and let us re-live the good ol' days.

This is not a "Once upon a time" but a "Yet to come . . ." kind of story. Life is not a fairytale but an endless adventure to find greater meaning in the impossible.

And tomorrow I'll learn it's just fine that I prefer darkness over light and it's okay to not be the same as my parents. And tomorrow maybe my sister will learn you can never play your music too loud. Tomorrow I think I'll show my friends the true meaning of peace.

And maybe eventually the world will realize that even thought America is fat, spoiled, and has had some pretty stupid leaders we're really just like everyone else wanting to make Earth a better place.

Heaven.

Yep, there's gonna be heaven on earth.
