There are a few ways to ask about the weather, but the most common is "Que (accent over e) tiempo hace?" (pronounced: kay tee-ehm-poh ah-say), meaning "What's the weather?". You can also say "Que (accent over e) tiempo hace hoy?", which means "What's the weather today?" Remember to put an inverted question mark before your question!
It's a warm sunny day. How can we express this?
Hace calor = ah-say cah-lohr = It's hot.
Hace sol = ah-say sohl = It's sunny.
Hay sol = ay sohl = The sun is shining.
Looks like a storm is coming. How do we tell people?
Hace frio (accent over i) = ah-say FREE-oh = It's cold.
Hace fresco = ah-say freh-scoh = It's chilly.
Hace viento = ah-say bee-ehn-toh = It's windy.
Esta (accent over a) nublado = eh-STAH noo-blah-doh = It's cloudy.
Something's falling from the sky. Duck and cover!
