Skinny love never brought me happiness
But your sunny love warmed my skin, lightened my hair
And it lightened the load
So I didn't mind its glare
I didn't mind its glare
It left me brown and I glowed
O how I glowed

But the distance is settling in
And the memories are slowly fading
My heart is holding on to something
My mind says to let go
And I wonder if I'm letting
Opportunities pass me by
As I wait for something better to arrive

Well you arrived
And I can't blame you for walking into my life

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder
But you don't know
Just how fond I've become
So I spend my time
Just thinking about you
And wondering if you've grown fonder too
Well you've got me tangled and confused

Should I leave it all to fate?
Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos
Is it truth that they state?
Or do we write our own destinies?
Like messages in bottles
And then you just wait
Wait for karma to come back to you

Then I guess I can't blame karma
For what has become of us

Well if I'm supposed to wait
Then at least send me a sign
Or keep me a promise
That you'll be mine
And that, Impossible Love, I'll be yours
I'll always be yours
You had me from that moment

When I walked into your life.
I walked into your life.
