Alice

My hair was longer, straight down to the middle of my back in brown waves. My lips were fuller, more luscious, and I had to admit, I was stunningly beautiful. Pain rippled through my stomach as I realized I had to go home to my parents this way, with someone else's Immortality Charm dangling loosely from my neck. Josh seemed to sense my unease, and sighed. "I can age you back. Maybe even just a year older. I have no problem with it." I looked at him, shocked at those words. "I am marrying you, there is no way I can go back to being physically thirteen!" He laughed softly, holding my gaze with those beautiful chocolate eyes.

He kissed me lightly on the lips and sighed. "Now or later?" Of course he was talking about meeting my parents. "Now," I whispered hoarsely. It made my throat dry thinking of showing my parents my fiance. He guided me to his car, seeing as I was mentally incapable of getting there at the moment. "Just don't think the directions, I'll find them," He said, holding back laughter. "Of course, because I'm incapable of doing so without messing it up in my state of mind." He laughed at my pout and soon drove us into the woods on the school grounds.

"What are you doing?" I asked him angrily, to which he laughed. "We're teleporting. Much quicker, and your mother would agree," He laughed the words. He grabbed my hand and I felt lighter as I saw both locations. The school woods were fading, and the house was getting bolder, more realistic. I grabbed his hand and walked him inside. Mom and Dad sat in the living room, waiting for me, I would assume.

"Alice?" Mom looked shocked. Dad looked at me as if I was some alien creature. "In the flesh," I said, bowing theatrically. Mom stared at me in shock and admiration. "You look just like your mother did when she was . . . alive," Dad said quietly. "Fully," Mom added. "Mom, Dad, this is my . . . Erm . . ." I could barely choke the words out. Josh laughed softly, staring at me. "This is Josh . . . He's my . . . Um . . . Soul mate." I finally sputtered out the words, and Mom laughed uncontrollably. "I was just hoping you would have someone before Celeste," she joked. "Speaking of Celeste, where is she?" I looked around, and Mom laughed. "Ask her yourself. She's standing right next to me." I gasped, she was a cloaker too?! Dad nodded at my thought, beaming and swelling with pride. "You can't see her? Cloakers usually see each other," Mom stated as if it were plainly obvious.

"Joshua, I see you are also a teleporter. Show me what you can do," Mom said, holding her hand out. What is wrong with her?! She obviously didn't notice we swapped charms. Dad's eyes raised in interest. Shoot! I thought of that around him!

"Alice, I'd like to speak with you," Dad said bitterly as he rose from the couch, Celeste becoming visible. "Um . . . Well, Dad, can we speak here?" "Absolutely not. Outside, in the clearing, if you will," he motioned towards the door and I sighed.

I stood in the clearing, the cold wind rippling my hair about my face. I couldn't possibly look realistic, standing here in my perfected glory.

"Alice, have you given any thought to marrying Joshua?"

"Yes."

"How much?"

"Plenty. I know what I want, and all I want is him."

"Good. Your mother and I will pay all the costs. But there's another matter I wanted to discuss . . ."

"Thank you, Daddy! What was that other subject?"

He took a long pause, staring me dead in the eyes. His look became serious and far away, making me shift my weight to the other foot uncomfortably.

"Well . . . Do you intend on having children?"

The thought froze me. Joshua and I would have perfect children, glorious and amazingly beautiful. I nodded, my throat too dry to respond. "Alice, this is a serious concept. I need you to think, natural birth could kill an unnatural person." I froze up even more. I choked on the air I was breathing. "Josh . . ." I whispered quietly.

"Alice!" Joshua appeared out of thin air, my mother at his side, and pulled me into his arms, staring at me with those warm eyes, thawing me out. "Are you okay?" I nodded again, faint from the situation at hand.

"Alice, what could you possibly do to make me change my mind on this? If it has even the slightest chance of killing you, I will not do it."

I glared up at him with my angry, stubborn eyes. "Just one, Joshua! Please!" I was nearly on my knees, and Josh looked at me as if I was insane. "Alice, do you want to die?" The words were so blunt and straight forward, it stunned me. It felt as if I had been punched in the face. "I'm strong. I'm half and half of two of the strongest things in existence," I explained. "Marriage first, children later." Josh muttered. "Way later." I glared at him and leapt from my bed, tackling him to the floor. "I don't want to kill you, don't infuriate me," I whispered quietly.

Just a second later, he had me pinned to the floor and was staring down at me with a triumphant and gloating face. "Okay. You are a Demon, your temper shows it." I glared up at him and he kissed me lightly on my lips, melting away my anger and frustration.

Three Months Later

Joshua

"I do."

I've never felt this kind of happiness, to have someone as wonderful as Alice around forever. And to top it all off, she was expecting to have my child, a daughter or a son, and make us whole. Her parents weren't up to it, but she didn't exactly want to listen.

"Joshua Matthews, stop stalling and answer me!" She thought in her most impatient tone. "Oh, you mean child names? I was thinking Alistair Joshua Matthews for a boy, and Alice Desiree Matthews for a girl," I said out loud. She smiled.

"Both named after me?"

"Of course, Alice. It doesn't matter to me."

"So sweet. Any ways, Alistair . . . Isn't that a Twilight name?"

"Yeah. Figured you and your mom were big on that."

She flashed her perfect smile, the one that washed away rain clouds.

"You know it. Alistair Joshua Matthews, such a beautiful name."

I smiled in response, and I felt her energy radiating through her perfect tanned skin. It looked porcelain, yet tan, the world's most beautiful combination. Everything about her screamed frail, yet she held her own better than most Demons I knew, Evelyn Castanon included. She grinned at my thoughts, laughing silently to herself. "I love you so much," she thought, although it was as if she had said it out loud.

And that's when I knew Alice was perfect for me, and that she was everything anybody could want in life, or forever. Whichever came first.
