After the morning sun begins to glow,
The robin alights on a tree,
And as I watch from my window,
It sings sweetly to me.

There is a connection between us two,
Every note the robin sings,
Though the reason isn't in view,
Simply means everything.

And yet I still find myself in a cage,
I can't be free like the robin,
I wonder why for a dog's age,
This is the life I'm in.

But the robin is still a free spirit,
Doesn't care what anyone says,
And every time you near it,
It simply flies away.
