The first streaks of dawn appear
The first rosy cheeks of the sun come
The darkness flees
The moon goes to sleep

Birds begin their twittering,
the frogs cease their singing
Pools of light dot the grass,
and the late night has passed

Smell the sweet flowers
and the mountains that tower
The daytime is precious
with its beauties,
and with its faults

The sunhigh has come
Day is at its hottest
Dogs run and frolic,
while the cats take their naps

The day begins to fade away
and night has come to take over
Mosquitoes come to bite
Birds take their flight back to their nests
The sun begins to set,
and its fiery ball of wonder lights the horizon

The sun's last streak light the sky
the moon rises
This is twilight,
the last time of day
The time just between night and day

Now, it is nighttime
Little light blink in the sky,
and the moon casts a mystical veil on the grass
Once the night ends,
the day will come again.
