"What did you want to tell me?" I asked Mom and Dad.

"Well . . . we know that you have powers."

"How . . . how . . . how . . . did . . . you . . . know . . . that?" I spat out of my mouth with great difficulty.

"It's amazing how much you don't know about us, Sadie," Dad said.

"Aden, just tell her the story and get this over with," Mom said with frustration.

"Okay, Natalie." Dad toke a deep breath and then said, "Sadie, listen very carefully. You cannot tell anyone of this or interrupt me. Okay?"

I nodded and waited for Dad too start.

"Well, your mother and I told you that we met at college. That's a lie. A complete a lie. We actually met at a Uniquers Jail."

"What is Uniquers?" I spat out. Dad gave me a look. "Sorry . . . sorry . . . sorry. Can you at least tell me what they are or what it is?"

"The Uniquers are us Sadie. The people who have powers." Dad said sternly.

"Us? What do you mean by us?" I asked.

"You, me, and your mom." Dad pointed to me, himself and then mom.

"You have powers? I . . . I . . . thought that I and Charlie were the only ones and that one girl he was talking about . . ."

"Sadie! Just . . . just be quiet and I'll explain everything." He sighed. "Okay, I'll start from the beginning, I'll tell you my story and then Mom will tell you hers."

Mom nodded in agreement.

"Okay. I was born on December 31st, 1975 in a hospital. Your grandma, Elke Hagen thought that once the doctors handed her to me I was born too early and she didn't want a baby born early so she put me in an orphanage and I grew up there. It wasn't until I was sixteen that someone noticed that something was different about me. So, they put me in a hospital and they confirmed that I was going to be part of the Uniquers group. After that they threw me into the Uniquers' Jail."

I stared at Dad blankly.

"Do you have any questions?" Dad asked.

"Yeah. A couple . . . One, I had a grandmother named Elk-e? Two, how come she didn't want a baby born early? Three, how did you met mom? You didn't say that yet."

"Your grandmother's name wasn't Elk-e. It was Elke, pronounced Elk. I don't know why she didn't want an early baby! If you listen, maybe you can fine out how I met your mom!" Dad yelled at me.

"Sorry . . . sorry." I replied to Dad's yelling.

"Aden, why don't I take it from here." Mom said to Dad.

Dad nodded.

"Well, my past is just like your father's my mom didn't want a baby born early either, I was put in an orphanage, and then shifted off to Uniquers' Jail. We met when we were both sixteen, because we were in different parts of the jail until then. We saw each other in secret. And a few years later we were married."

"Don't you guys still have your powers?" I asked them.

"No, we do not."

"How come?"

Mom sighed then said, "The government found out about this and sucked the powers out of us with a needle."

"That's mean."

"You bet it is! That's why we didn't vote this year for president, 'cause he's just gonna make us pay 'cause were special." Dad said with great anger, and then laughed.

I looked at him confused, and then shook it off by shaking my head. I then was about to ask about how I was a illegal child, but I was interrupted by Joe.

"Your ten minutes is up!" He ordered.

I looked at Mom and Dad one last time. I might not ever see them again. I followed Joe and cried.

Author's Note: I'm sorry that's it is so short this week. I went on vacation with my family the day after school was out (Thursday). So I had to hurry and write one up. Again, I'm so sorry.
