Desiree

Aimee stood up and darted away, Joshua going with her. I was confused, what was that? The thoughts that weren't hers coming from her? Joshua's happy, but concerned face? My twin brother knew something I didn't, and he told me everything. Everything!

Marcus looked concerned too, even as he kept Evelyn pinned. "No, Joshua!" Aimee screamed angrily. "Aimee . . . Calm down," he said. "No! Get this thing out of me!" Aimee shouted bitterly. "Aimee, I don't know how we would," Joshua said calmly. "I don't care! I don't want it!" Aimee shouted angrily, bitterly. I realized what was going on, Aimee was . . . Pregnant. "Aimee, I don't know how we would do that! Only Mom and Dad had a life with the human populace!" Joshua said, irritated.

Alice

I cracked out of the mud shell at that point, and was stunned. Aimee was pregnant? Joshua and Aimee were going to have a baby? "Alice!" Joshua shouted, kissing me quickly. I leapt up and snagged up Evelyn by her broken arm. "Make Rowan unban Joshua. Do it!" I shrieked. The rain stopped, and I held Josh's hand. He was still here, the sun illuminating his perfect face. "Now vanish!" I shouted angrily as I chucked her as far as my strength would allow; a good 20 miles.

Aimee was crying as I approached quietly. Joshua stared up at me with eyes full of sorrow. "I'm so sorry, Aimee," Josh whispered. "Forget it!" Aimee shouted, "It's already there! I don't want this thing, I want to be normal! Not a Reaper! And certainly not pregnant!" Desiree came from behind me, staring at Aimee with eyes full of sadness. The baby's thoughts interrupted my personal analysis of the situation. "Mommy, I love you. I'm sorry," it thought. Aimee shrieked angrily and went to pound a fist against her stomach. Ten hands grabbed both of her arms, and five voices yelled, "No!" Aimee cried again, and Desiree stared at her.

"Aimee," Desiree started. "I know you really don't want the little soul . . . I was just thinking . . . Maybe Marcus and I could take her under our wing?" Desiree stared longingly at Aimee, and Aimee sobbed again. "I don't want it. Go ahead. How do you know it's a her?" Aimee asked coldly. "I'm . . . Well . . . Divine, of course," Desiree answered simply, and grabbed Marcus's hand. "I'm going to have a little girl!" Desiree squealed. Aimee gagged and Desiree walked over to her. "Please don't do anything to damage Nailani," Desiree whispered. Joshua smiled at her. "Don't worry, sister of mine, I'll make sure Aimee takes good care of your little bundle of joy," he said as he hugged her lightly. "You better, Aimee. If my baby is anything less than how I see her now, I'll hurt you," she threatened. Suddenly, she picked Aimee up and moved her, and lightning struck where she was standing.

"Run, now!" Desiree shouted at Aimee, throwing her lightly. "Where?!" Aimee shrieked in a frightened tone. "Just run!" Desiree screamed, "Joshua, go with her!" Marcus seemed on edge suddenly, growling and standing in front of Desiree. She hovered just a foot off of the ground, and I saw Rowan in his Angelic glory just fifty feet from us. "Where is the abomination?" he hissed angrily. "I don't know what you're talking about," I spat angrily. "Tell me, or I'll be forced to go tear your Aimee to shreds. Give her to me, and I'll take the life of that little Reaper before it can take hundreds, and leave your Aimee alive," Rowan said angrily. "No!" Desiree shrieked angrily. "Do as I say, or I'll strike you down," Rowan threatened. "Do what you please, you won't touch Nailani!" Desiree growled. Marcus backed her up with a frightening snarl of his own.

Lightning shot down, and it struck Desiree. Marcus suddenly cried out in pain, holding Desiree. "The end," Rowan muttered. "Now give me the child and it's carrier, and all of you will live but the girl who dared to shriek at me." My eyes watered over, and I sprung at him. Lightning struck at me, and I darted side to side out of the way, it was missing by centimeters at a time. "You killed my Desiree!" I growled as I tackled him. Flames blinded me as I held him up to the lightning beam he used to attempt to stop me with, and he flailed around, and fell, banished from this realm because of his own idiocy. Marcus moaned, and Josh was out of sight.

What happened when the end found us all separated? Would we be reunited in the land above or the land below? Or suffer an eternity without each other?
