Sometimes, the sadness overtakes me
and a loneliness I just cannot repress or trap.
And though I often dream of the one who could save me,
I'd like to think that I'm stronger than that.
So for now, I'm on my own,
and I'm seeing things differently.
The grimness has defined a silhouette of light
through the cracks and wholes
of an unsound perception and sight.
Slipping from the consciousness
of what they like to call reality
too many times now to assess.
And though I'm hearing things differently,
I hope it won't be for long
that I'm doing this imperfectly.
Don't be turned off by
the mess I've made in my head;
it's just a makeshift plight
which at times takes its stead.
So for now, I'm doing this alone,
but I hope it won't be for long
because even those strong
can still weather like Rome.

Together we'll weather like Rome
until something new has arose
from the dusty rubble and debris,
just you wait and see.

And together we'll weather like Rome
until something new has arose.
Then our hearts will brim with glee,
o just you wait and see.
