Why-Passes and Deleting

~* Aloha *~

It's me, Sparkle1. I'm here to talk about two of the most discussed subjects in Whyville: Why-Passes and deleting accounts. Here are some "most asked" questions that other citizens and I have answered:

Q: Why do we need Why-Passes?

A: So Whyville can earn enough money for new and more servers to support Whyville, and to pay for the monthly bills of keeping Whyville open.

Q: Why can't City Hall make another way to earn money?

A: If you think of anyway to make more money for Whyville, for free, then I'm sure City Hall would put your idea forward, and see what can be done about it.

Q: Why can't we delete all the accounts that have never, ever, in their whole life been on Whyville since they have signed up?

A: Actually, we can. That isn't the problem, though. I think it would be great if City Hall would do this, but it wouldn't affect the need for Why-Passes.

Q: Why can't we pay for Why-Passes in clams?

A: If one person paid for a Why-Pass in clams, everyone would do the same! If no one paid in real money, then there would be no reason to have Why-Passes.

Q: What is the point of Why-Passes, anyway?

A: As I said before, to buy more servers for Whyville, and help pay for all the other bills. The whole reason of having them is to make money. City Hall has all the clams in the world, and doesn't really care about getting more! It's great if you have about a bizillion clams, but what we really need is money. Real money. Not clams, dollars.

Well, that's it for today.
