Not a Newbie, Not an Oldie

Not a newbie, not yet an oldie...

Hello everybody! SlyGal5 here, writing this article just for YOU! Nice of me, wasn't it? Anywayz, back on subject. I am writing this article to express my opinion on what I believe is an important issue. (It isn't really, but I'd like to think it to be.)

I was reading Giggler01's article today in the Whyville Times called "The Real Whyvillian Crisis" (great article by the way!). Part of this article touched me, not sentimentally or anything like that -- just, a question popped into my mind. It was about the Newbie vs. Oldie issue. There are newbies (citizens new to our wonderful town of Whyville) and oldies (the citizens who were here from the beginning, going through the ups and downs as Whyville took its shape). But what about us "in betweeners" or the "people in the middle"? Where are we in this? Are we forgotten?

We are "the other people", not newbies, but not yet oldies! We don't even have a nickname -- we're just "there". I, like many others here on Whyville, am not a newbie, but not quite old enough to be considered a oldie. Why don't we have a cool nickname? The "inbetweeners" just doesn't quite appeal to me.

So... I am going to hold a contest to see who can come up with the best name for the "not a newbie, not yet an oldie". I want original, snappy, good names here. I want a title for us people, not just the forgotten people! Here's what you do:

Write a short why-mail to me, SlyGal5, telling me your name for the "not a newbie, not yet an oldie" people, along with a short explanation.

I will read through all the entries sent to me and pick the one I think is the best.

I will give the winner 100 clams, 50 clams worth of projectiles, and any item at Akbar's they want (that isn't impossible for me to get). The winner will also get their entry placed in the Times for next week!

Sound good? Start thinking now!

Hope y'all liked my article. I just wanted to make sure that those of us who are "not a newbie, not yet an oldie" are not left out in the cold.

This is SlyGal5, going... going... gone!
