Cue the lights, camera, fruit cake, and cheer! I'm your host, sqeakers1, and this is the new, "The Holiday Game Show"! Here are the basics of the show. My best reporter is on location at a Whyville hot spot right now with a citizen and camera crew. The citizen describes three traditions their family celebrates for the holiday they believe in, and then the contestants back here in the studio guess the holiday. The first to get it right wins the round. We have a few rounds, so let's get started! But first, let's meet our contestants!

Our first contestant is . . . Angel5095! Angel is really into other beliefs and faiths, and she says she is excited to be here and hopes that her research on the various holidays will help her. Next is . . . Autumnlov! She is psyched to be here and says that she believes this would be a good learning experience. And last, but not least, is our third contestant . . . Ocean10kv! She sees this as a great opportunity to get to know the differences around the world, and she can't wait to get started!

Okay, first round! Players, buzz in after you have seen the video clip of our reporter and have the answer. If you hear a dinging sound, you have the correct answer, and will be rewarded! Let's go to BandLove to see it the vid.

"BandLove here! Here is writer104. She has been telling me all about an awesome holiday her and her family celebrate. Here are her traditions and clues. Writer?"

"Thanks BandLove. Okay, so here goes. My holiday follows the blessed month, Ramadan. It is in the tenth month of the Hijra calendar. Fasting is absolutely forbidden on my holiday. Can ya' guess?"

Alright, contestants, you have heard the clues! Now let's get to guessing! When you think you have your answer, just buzz in and tell me. George, please put five minutes on the clock. Ready? Go!

*Jeopardy theme song begins to play* Buzz!

Alright! We have a contestant who thinks they have it. Autumn? What is your answer?

Autumnlov: Kwanzaa?

Ooh, no. Sorry. Better luck next time. Angel?

Angel5095: Um, Hanukkah? Ha ha, but I'm not for sure . . .

No, Hanukkah is not correct. Ocean? Do you have an answer?

Ocean10kv: I wish I did, sqeakers1. Oh well . . .

Alright! The correct answer is . . . the Muslim holiday Eid! Here is writer104 again, here to tell you more about her holiday.

"Hi, I'm Muslim, and I celebrate Eid. Here's info on what I do. Eid-Ul-Fitr is the holiday that follows the blessed month of Ramadan and falls on the 1st day of Shawwal, the 10th month in the Hijra calendar. As with all months in the Hijra calendar, it begins with the sighting of the new moon. It commemorates both a joyous holiday and some sadness due to the end of the blessed month of Ramadan. Fasting is forbidden on this day, as it marks the end of the month long fast of Ramadan. One is encouraged to rise early and partake of some dates or a light, sweet snack. One should bathe, as always, but with the remembrance that this is a special day. Muslims are encouraged to dress in their best clothes, new if possible. There is a special Eid prayer that is performed in congregation. The prayer consists of two rak'at, followed by a khutba, or sermon. The prayer is not obligatory, but Muslims are encouraged to take time off and attend the prayer."

Okay, now that we have learned about Eid, let's go on. Round Two! Here's BandLove again, this time with SpOrTyAx. BandLove?

"Hello? Sqeakers, you there? Oh, sorry. Technical glitches, I guess. Ha ha. Anyway, here's SpOrTyAx, with her holiday."

"My holiday, we put up a tree. We go to a family member's home for the dinner. Oh yeah! And we always have gift swaps with each other."

Okay, contestants, five minutes on the clock, begin . . . Now!

*Jeopardy theme song begins again* Buzz!

Uh, oh! All of our contestants have an answer. They look pretty confident in it, too . . . So? Why don't we hear what you all have to say? All together now . . . 1, 2, 3!

Autumnlov, Ocean10kv, and Angel5095: Christmas!

Correct! Awesome job, guys! Here's what SpOrTyAx has to say about her holiday!

"We do indeed put up a tree. We have to go out and look for the perfect one. We always go to a member of our family's house. I love playing with my cousins and tackling my older ones. I also love watching my little cousins play together. So cute! Er . . . We traditionally have a gift swap, which is usually fun . . . er . . ."

Ah, SpOrTyAx, always funny. Anyway, the scores are all tied at 50 points. Final round! This one will go quickly. However, it is a little different. There is no video for this one, and instead, it is me interviewing a classmate of mine. Her name is Cayla, and she was more than happy to answer a few Q's about her holiday. Alright, here is what Cayla has to say.

"My holiday has a candle for eight days. We light one every night. It stands for the oil that it lasted for the Macabees."

Five minutes . . . Go!

Buzz!

Woah, guys! We haven't even played the "Jeopardy" song yet! Ha ha, oh well. Let's see, we have Ocean buzzed in first, half a second later is Angel, and third is Autumn. We will go in order. Ocean?

Ocean10kv: I would say, Hannukah.

Angel?

Angel5095: Same as Ocean!

Autumn?

Autumnlov: Agreed.

Well, you all have the right answer, so we will give you all the points. Sound fair? I think so . .. Here are our scores! Tied, with 100 points each, are all three of our contestants! What a coincidence, right? Ha ha. All contestants will go home with a month supply of ceran wrap and oatmeal, along with two hundred clams! Good job, everyone! Next week, we will see what kind of gifts our video citizens received over their holiday.

Happy holidays, everyone!
