It took me two days, but I finally completed all of the levels of Scion Driving School. There were some things which put me off about it, but the advantages (2 clams added to your salary each time you complete a level!) outweighed it. It also helps if you're about to take the permit or license test (although I would still advise reading the book!). Anyway, here are some tips that I thought should've been added to the game to make things easier and clear up some confusion.

Tip #1: You're never penalized for going too slow.

This is like what my dad told me before I took my license test, "You're never penalized for being too careful!" Unfortunately in the real world, you will get a ticket if you drive too slowly, but in the game they just 'suggest' you speed up. This helps in many levels because there really is no marker where they say, "Speed up to the next speed limit at this point." Even if the changing speed limit is right next to you, if you speed up, you fail because it's 'too fast'. I'd say just always drive slowly.

Tip #2: Other drivers are crazy -- sometimes you have to drive crazy, too!

This is like what my dad told me, too, "Always act like everyone else is a bad driver!" There are cars in this game that don't obey any traffic rules whatsoever (which, admittedly, they did warn you about). For example, I stopped at a stop sign, but then when I started to drive when it turned green, the other car tried to turn in front of me! DON'T SLOW DOWN. These cars turn slowly, and they won't shy away from ramming into you! Keep to the speed limit and stay in your lane, but swerve quickly around them, even if you wouldn't in real life.

Tip #3: Quit while you're ahead.

Eh . . . sorry. I don't have a wise quote for this one. If it makes you feel any better, the driving tester will make you stop the car if you've already failed. If you are doing a test and for some reason get a penalty (which will indicate with a big, red 'STATUS: FAIL'), just re-do the test. You'll never pass, and it's quite frankly a waste of time when you could just do it again and pass.

Tip #4: Need to find the flag? It's always in a corner.

Yeah, you'll never find the flag in between buildings. Your best bet is to follow the arrow which is in the top center. Even still, in the last two levels they hid the flag, and you have to find it. I won't tell you exactly where it is (because I don't really think I'm allowed to!), but if you follow the arrow I'll give you a hint: It's in a corner. Trust me -- you'll know which one.

So that's all I have for now! Have fun, and keep driving!
