Dear Voldemort,

Why do you terrorize us so? Your need for power and fame is slowly destroying us! That is -- unless one of us is killed by a Death Eater. That, well, yeah, that's pretty fast so um . . . it's destroying us quickly, too, depending on the situation. Anyway, I'm writing you this letter because maybe all you need in your life is a little love or empathy (yeah, no I can't sympathize with you, I wasn't an orphan and I didn't have a troubled life like you, but I totally feel sorry for you, man.)

I, along with many others, think that maybe if your life hadn't been so completely jacked up, you would have been a good person. I mean, there would have been other ways to get power and fame besides murders and horcruxes and plain naughtiness. Hey, look at Dumbledore. Fame and power. See?

So maybe just maybe if you changed your ways, you could still be a better person. I'm not saying people won't hate you for everything that you and your nasty Death Eaters did, but, my friend, you will feel a whole lot better. And maybe, in time (or not), people will forgive you and learn to like you as the good Voldemort. Or Tom Riddle if you choose to go by that after you've become the new you. "The new you". Doesn't that sound fantastic? Just think about it.

I know it might be a slim chance that you turn good, but come on Voldy, give it a try. You might like it!

Sincerely,
fairypup2
