"I'm happy to be here." responded the enchanting female . . . Mother Nature. Holy cow, I thought . . . barely registering my mother's open mouth, and a few others. Her enthralling presence touching each soul and raised goose bumps on every arm. I felt a chill as she waved her hand at a chair, resulting of it rising. The black leather chair sailed through the air and landed beside Mother Nature, almost inviting her to sit on it. She sat down on it looking rather bored. Her black hair was shiny and her green dress reminded me of tinker bell. She was extremely beautiful but looked like she thought nothing of it.

Judge Phillips turned to face us, and then said, "Mother Nature is here to help me make a decision. Please go out into the hall way and wait until we call you back in." Just as Judge Phillips uttered those last words, the doors swung open revealing a too-beige hall way. We walked through the door in a single file. When everyone was in the hall way, the door closed quickly and nothing more was heard.

Nervousness traveled through my veins and back through the same way, making a path Hansel and Gretel would have been proud of.

A couple of minutes pasted and everyone started to become restless. A tension so strong drifted in the air, I had to take calming breathes. Everybody looked nervous and excited with their mouths curved and worry lines on their foreheads.

The door opened and Judge Phillips ushered us back in. One we were all seated down on our original spots, Judge Phillips looked us in the eye.

"We have thought good and hard about this. We are positive that the person we all voted for is the right one." Judge Phillips said, and then continued, "Here are the top two people we have all voted for . . ." he said and then gestured to everyone around him (Mother Nature, the elements and himself).

"Yes and those two people are . . . Chrissie and Willa!" Mother Nature announced gleefully. I couldn't keep the excitement from showing on my face as I looked at my dear mother. Her eyes were misty and her mouth was curved into a happy smile. I looked around and noticed some people were looking like they lost their lives. Some were crying and some looked like they were about to burst into woeful tears. "We have chosen Chrissie and Willa because we think that they showed the most amount of wanting this and that they had really good ideas. We also think they would be good because they would use this power wisely." smiled Mother Nature.

I stood a little taller and extended my neck proudly. I was finally in the spotlight (sort of) and I wanted a little recognition.

"Yes, but there can be only one . . . and the person we have chosen is . . . WILLA!" smiled Judge Phillips at me. Truthfully, I didn't even register the fact that he was smiling . . . I was too lost in the moment to notice anything really. I hugged my mother and stood up because Mother Nature beckoned toward me. I shakily walked toward her as she extended her hand at me. I grasped the cool flesh as she made me face the crowd. I looked at everyone's fallen faces and suddenly thought this is real . . . I am really going to be the next element of Water!

*SPLASH*

"Willa, wake up! You are going to be late for school." said a voice. I squinted through my long bangs. My mother stood in her business suit glaring at me. I looked around and realized I was covered in water. "You wouldn't wake up," was my mother's response.

Oh, just a dream.
