I've decided to do something new with my life. I've decided to live carelessly. I've decided that from now on, I should never be afraid to say how I feel, express who I really am, and let my personality shine through. I'm guilty of trying to be someone I'm not, and it's time to stop.

All this time, I've been trying to buy expensive clothes, and act all calm and cool, because that's what everybody else does. Since, you know, everybody else acts and dresses that way, maybe I should look that way too, right? Wrong. This New Year I said to myself, I'm going to calm my life down. Try and be like other people. Normal. Well, let me tell you, it didn't take me long to realize being "normal" is quite boring.

I'm a loud, outspoken person. I'm a girl who loves life and I'm not afraid to show it anymore. I'm tired of buying boring looking t-shirts from Hollister and other places just because that's what everyone else wears.

I LOVE my life. I'm a crazy, fun person. I love acting weird with my friends and not giving a care to what other people think. Sure, we get looks for being a little bit louder than everyone else, but HEY, I'm having a heck of a lot more fun than you are.

High school stereotypes people. No matter where you are, you're stereotyped as somebody. The Preps, the Jocks, the Nerds, the Outcasts, you get the picture. I spent all this time thinking that I wanted to be a part of the Populars. I wanted to be a good stereotype. But you know, I realized, there is no good stereotype. From everyone's point of view, you only see the bad in whatever category you're put into.

I'm proud to be a part of, shall I say, the Others. I love my group of friends. We're not the Preps, the Wannabes, the Nerds, the Creeps, or the Jocks. We have or own category. And quite frankly, I think ours is the best. I guess we're just the people that love life, and are just here. I don't even know how to explain it. But all I know is that I'm glad to be living life freely. Maybe, if you're anything like me, you're just as happy.

So yeah, I am a happy, free living girl and it's time to express it more than ever.

This is Kirskooki . . . happy to be writing her first article in a while again.
