I've always found some of the best friendships in my pets, because they're always there for me, and they never lie. If I'm sad, my cat will come to my lap and sing its purring song to me. If I'm happy, then my pigeon will be happy with me. But when my very own two pets came, I was overjoyed. They were always there. They were always cuddly. They were my hamsters.

I was fond of both of them, but Sunset in particular was always my favorite. She was gentle, yet smart and cunning. Dawn was a plump hamster who was cute, but she didn't have the exotic personality that Sunset had. In fact, on the very first night, Sunset escaped! We were looking for her all weekend, and when I was about to break down on Monday, she came crawling towards me. Since then, I have loved her so much.

Sunset has always been there for me, like my other pets, but she was a lot different in some weird way. She somehow knew what I was thinking, and knew when I needed her the most.

With Sunset, I have had many adventures and many good times. But those adventures and good times always have to come to an end, don't they? After a few long, joyous years with each other, Sunset died.

I knew that she was going to soon; she had been acting slow and hurt. I looked up her symptoms online; I'm not sure what she had. They could have been several things. All I know now is that when I checked on her, she was stiff and cold.

Of course, I cried; and I'm still weeping deep in my heart today. But I know that all lives have to end someday, and I'm just glad that Sunset has passed on peacefully. She had a great impact on my life. Now I'm calmer in my actions, and I can comfort others and understand at the same time.
