Sometimes I don't realize how amazing my mom is. She cleans the house, mows the lawn even though it hurts her, she's responsible, and she acts as a taxi. And most of all, she puts up with her seven children -- me in particular.

I sometimes can't help but snap back at my mom, procrastinate or put everything on her shoulders. It's quite ridiculous, actually; and I have the feeling that you probably do at least one of the things I do to my mom, even though they don't deserve it.

One day -- not too long ago, actually -- I finally woke up on the right side of the bed. I was cheery and nice, and anxious to help. It was then that I realized how much work everything took; doing the dishes, washing clothes, landscaping . . . it's all pretty hard. And I also realized that my mom did that every single day! I was so tired even from doing half of the work that she did. I was appalled at myself at how I would demand for her to drive me to some friend's house or something, because my mom already would have been exhausted.

That's when I came to the conclusion of being kinder to my mother, and to respect her. I mean, seriously, she's great! Now I am attempting to be a newer, nicer person -- not only to my mom, but to everyone. I'm challenging you to do that, too.

Sincerely,
Mylo9810
