A single-player game of charades
Too bad, I'm closing your blinds, away
. . . not going to see that lonely face.

Hide and seek with just one heart
Oh well, I waited too long, now apart
. . . a tendency to wander a little off-chart.

No, really. I don't love you.
It's grown a little bland.
Quit lying. I don't love you.
Now let go of my hand.

One lonesome turtle dove in the tree
Too late, my wings grow anxious, now free
. . . bluntly ignoring your pitiful plea

And really. I don't love you.
I shouldn't have let it slip.
Quit lying. I don't love you.
Now get your hands off my hips.

Love is the weapon in this civil war
Not now, I'm already in pieces, torn
. . . never really knew for sure.

But really. I don't love you.
You should've seen from the start.
Quit lying. I don't love you.
Give me back my heart.
