An empty heart
Alone in the shadows
Dark, gloomy eyes
Stare out the window

A single tear drop
Of a cry
Falls so fast,
In the blink of an eye

Puffy eyes
Swelling and red
Letting the stress
Get to your head

Watery eyes
Tears drip one by one
Blocking away
The shining sun

Continue shedding more and
More tears
Wishing to live
A life with no fear

Searching for hope
Until it comes,
Moving on in life,
Always losing some

A puddle of tears
Across the floor
Added one by one
Are just a few more

One by one
The tears seem to freeze
And in through the window
Comes a sudden breeze

That wind playfully
Taps a cheek
None of those tears
Continue to leak

Those once gloomy eyes
Now so bright
The gentle wind
Gives a kiss good night

Now you'll find
Some love in that heart
That love and hope
Can't seem to part
