Words are falling into my open ears
Dragging me down, a tunnel with no end
I look down and see a distorted monster
Words of comfort can't save me again

Taunting looks biting into my skin
Cupcake smiles turned into smiles of guilt
I try to be like her and not listen
But the beauty is there and I just won't admit

Tears are falling onto my empty hands
Beautiful girls wondering if they've got it
Stick models and dark blue mascara
It seems acceptance is the one thing we want to commit

Wrap the hurt away and take away my fears
Through this insecurity and silent amens
I'm going to someday look up and see me
One day I'm going to be beautiful again
