We were sitting in the sixth novices' kitchen drinking hot chocolate when I told them the story. I finished and looked up from my mug. Mary had on a look of shock. I looked over at Damon. He had on his "coming up with a plan" face.

"Do you think it's them that the voice in your Vision was talking about?" he asked, moving his hand to rest under his chin.

"I think it's them and maybe Jonathan, too."

"You think he's come back?" Mary asked. Poor girl, she just kept getting shock after shock. She may look tough on the outside, but she was completely opposite on the inside.

"Yes," I told her. "I think it's him giving me these weird dreams. Like he's warning me about what he's going to do. I think his Powers are as strong as mine." I looked down and mumbled, "Maybe stronger." We sat in silence then. Some other kids entered the kitchen.

"Common," Damon said. "Let's eat lunch then go to class."

Our school is different than normal high schools. I'm not talking about what we learn, but the time the actual classes start. After lunch, noon, it starts and gets done before dinner, six. It gives us more time to do our own thing, or finish up homework, which is what I normally end up doing. We have a lot of places to choose from to eat at. The school grounds are like a little city. There are stores to buy everything you need. Whether it is clothes or food, we have it. Then we have our dorms; one for the sixth novices, seventh novices, eighth novices, and then one for ninth novices. Then of course we also have the school, which is in the middle of the grounds, and the library right next to it. Around the perimeter of the entire place we have gardens. All together it is called The Show. We have The Show School, The Show Library and so on and so forth. It's all so beautiful!

We chose the restaurant that was right next to the school that serves sushi. We asked for a secluded booth so we could talk without worrying about anyone hearing us. Of course that wasn't happening, Marie and Katlyn walked in. I found it strange that they somehow kept finding us. I created a telepathic link that only included me and my two friends. I was positive they wouldn't get their noses in our business now.

"So you've been having weird dreams?" Damon started. "Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"Well at first they weren't that bad, just little things about Jonathan coming back. Last night was the worst." I could feel the tears starting to build up and a lump grow in the middle of my throat. Damon put his hand on mine.

"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

"No," I choked back the tears, "I need to. It might help us." I told them everything. "I've been thinking, a lot, and I think Katlyn was never on our side. She never hung out with Marie and now suddenly they're best friends? I think they set it up. Marie, Katlyn and Jonathan were all a team. A team trying to take control of the world, but to do that they have to destroy me? They know a lot more than we do."

Finally, Mary spoke up.

"Well, we have that book you bought that could banish them," she hesitated. "Maybe it could also teach us more."

"The Vision said it would only banish them for a little while, so we need to find a temporary banishing spell. All it's going to do is give us more time to figure something out to get rid of them. Forever."

"Well then let's look for the spell so we have it. When we're done eating, we can get everything we need for it. We'll do the spell after school," Damon said while he grabbed the book and started studying the table of contents.

"This has been the longest first day ever!" Mary complained. "I'm tired of lugging around this stuff!"

"Well let's get to Damon's room. I think he's setting up." We were about to go up to the guys' side of the sixth novice building when Marie and Katlyn stopped us.

"Hm, guess you were right, Aednat. Jonathan has returned," Katlyn said with a knowing look. They started laughing and I knew it was because of the fear they saw in my eyes.

"Boy is he mad!" Marie went on. "You guys are such losers, carrying around that garbage all day long." She turned to Katlyn, "Let's throw it away for them then go get something to eat."

"Good idea," Katlyn replied. When they started getting closer to us, I felt a surge of Power coming from Mary. Katlyn and Marie were blasted back and out of our way.

"Oh. My. Gosh," Mary said, as if her sudden surge of Power surprised her too.

"Hurry, let's go before they get up!" I took her arm and we ran up stairs to Damon.

He had everything set up and ready to go. The six extra white candles we bought were lined up in a circle big enough for three people to sit in. Each had to light up two candles for this to work.

After that was accomplished, I grabbed the archaic book to see what order I had to put the ingredients. In front of me was a big, blue pot. I picked up a purple pansy and white rose. I picked five petals off of each and threw them in the pot as well. I handed a wooden spoon to Damon and a water bottle to Mary. As I started reciting the spell, Mary poured in the water and Damon stirred. I was just about to prick my finger and put my blood in the pot, the final touch, but Marie, Katlyn and Jonathan slammed open the door and barged in the room.

"We're just warning you right now, we know the spell to kill, so you better not finish your potion," Jonathan said.

"Jonathan! Long time no see! You haven't changed one bit! Always threatening the people around you so you can feel like a big boy," I said with a wicked smile. I had no idea where my sudden courage had come from, I'd only been scared mindless for the last month. "But, ya see, I kinda have to finish this up, otherwise everyone will die."

"You better not!" he warned. I put the needle to my finger and pushed. "Oh! Would you look at that?" I asked. "Better get rid of this blood." Right as I squeezed my finger over the pot, the three new comers had mumbled words and cast a spell to kill me.

I saw them disappear when Damon stirred my blood in with the rest of the ingredients, but the lightning bolt of Power didn't go with them. I could see it rushing at me right before it hit me square in the chest.

I fell back, breathless. Everything went black and I was gone.
