Let me find a puffy cloud
Swaying in the sky
And use your strong and careful wings
To help me fly and fly

Don't you realize what your absence has done to me?
Your distance has altered my mind into fantasy
It isn't real - it isn't true - but it's good enough you see
Abandonment has done nothing more than destroy reality

Let me feel secure
In your welcoming arms
Tell me that I'm safe from the world
And its harms

Can't you realize what your departure has done to me?
I'm being controlled by emptiness and false destiny
It was never real - it was never true - but it's all I have you see
Abandonment has done nothing more than destroy my memory

And as you let me take a breath in a split second
I'm all alone and the naked truth says that you've gone

Don't you realize what your absence has done to me?
I can't tell the difference between grief and serenity
It's very real - it's very true - and it's all I have you see
Abandonment has done nothing more than completely destroy me
