Don't you just hate
Those four little letters
That spell out the word l-o-v-e
I know I do
There was that realization a few years ago
When I believed I knew what those four little letters meant
Those ones that spell out the word l-o-v-e
Yet I didn't
And you clearly let me realize
That I was sadly mistaken

Don't you just love
Those four little letters
That spell out the word h-a-t-e
I know I do
After I was betrayed by whom I loved the most
I understood
That word that spells out h-a-t-e
And I still do
Since you clearly let me realize
I am still going to be abandoned

Don't you just despise
Those five little letters
That spell out the word t-r-u-s-t
I know I do
After the last things we ever said
I questioned
That word that spells out t-r-u-s-t
And I still do
Because you clearly let me realize
You'd fractured the remains of what it used to be

Don't you just adore
Those seven little letters
That spell r-e-v-e-n-g-e
I know I do
After what you did to me
I completely understood
That word that spells r-e-v-e-n-g-e
And I still do
But don't worry
You soon will too
