Sitting at the end of the bar
Drink in one hand
But the drink is not at his mouth
Instead he is yelling complaints

Blaming things on his job
His money
His clothes
His appearance

Mr. Mister
When will you ever learn?

Take a look at his clothes
Must be worth a fortune
Gold watch and gold ring
Is there anything worth nothing?

Stealing looks at the other people
In the most disapproving ways
He had a pretty good face
But still he went on shouting
Mr. Mister
When will you ever learn?

As I just sit there
He goes on and on
To his knowledge no one is listening
But there is me, a man worth nothing

A poor man with no money like me
Is happier than the other man
For this man has no drink or gold
But a good heart and no harsh words

Mr. Mister
When will you ever learn?
