You can only wear a mask so long
before the plastic cracks
and you can try to prove me wrong
but it all comes back.

Mother, you'd sell your soul
to keep the world from seeing you are old.
Mother, you'd sell your soul,
you'd sell your soul for that.

You can try to fill the gap
with things you never really loved
and you can lie to yourself, you can always do that,
but, believe me, it all comes back.

Father, you'd sell your soul
to keep the world from seeing you are poor.
Father, you'd seal our fate
just to keep alive the hate.

Dark days are coming
if things don't change,
but some apples fall
during hurricanes.
