Waiting waiting waiting
For nothing but a stare
A cold hard hated stare

The way your eyes look at me
It hurts like a scolding fire
It hurts more than anything

I hear you say something to your friend
I know it's about me
I'm not stupid like you think

You can't even do anything yourself
You don't want any trouble
You always have to have someone else

Someone else to set the mood
Someone else to say the words
Someone else that drags the knife

The knife that hurts too much
The words that I can't forgot
The ones you should have said and not your friend

You would think it ends
But things like this don't end
Things like this drag on

Just minutes later you're almost beside me
And your eyes never seem to leave
They just cut inside me deeper and deeper

It ends when I get closer
But pretend like everything's alright
As if you really thought I was

Waiting waiting waiting
For nothing but a stare
A cold hard hated stare
