Hello everyone, VickiDeze here. Recently I had the chance to see "Legally Blonde: The Musical" on tour and that's what I will be reviewing for you this week!

The Cast

The original broadway cast consisted of the following people:

Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods
Christian Borle as Emmett Forrest
Orfeh as Paulette Bonafonte
Micheal Rupert as Proffesor Callahan
Richard H. Blake as Warner Huntington III
Kate Shindle as Vivienne Kensington
Nikki Snelson as Brooke Wyndham
Leslie Kritzer as Serena
Annaleigh Ashfort as Margot
DeQuina Moore as Pilar

Plot, Background and All That Jazz

"Legally Blonde: The Musical" is obviously based off of the successful "Legally Blonde" movie franchise. It follows Elle Woods as she strives to become serious at Harvard Law School to impress her ex boyfriend Warner. Unfortunately, Warner begins to date the snooty and serious law student Vivienne Kensington. Elle continues to work her way back into Warner's heart, although she does have some problems along the way staying focused. Soon she realizes that it may be Warner himself who is causing her to loose focus. Elle must learn to stay true to herself and be who she truly is.

Jazz Hands

Every song in this musical is super upbeat and catchy. The opening number, "Omigod You Guys", is probably one of the catchiest songs ever, it's also one of my favorites. Other songs include: "Bend and Snap", "Whipped Into Shape" and "So Much Better". Overall, every song in this musical is extremely fun to listen to and fits well with the storyline.

My Thoughts

As a whole, I thought this musical was fantastic. The songs were great, the sets were good, and the actors all did quite well with both acting and singing. That includes the little dog who played Bruiser (cutest cast member if I do say so myself) The outfits the actors wore were very bright and sparkly for the most part which could be helpful for those who were sitting farther back, to make it easier to see the actors. The plot and storyline were very cute. Overall, this was a very enjoyable production and if you ever get the chance, I suggest you go see it. There are a few jokes that younger kids may not understand and parents may not find appropriate, but overall this show isn't too bad and is pretty decent for families.

Thanks for reading everyone, and I hope you enjoyed this week's "No Business Like Show Business"
