Grim melody consumes the air
Vibrant, red hue
Long dress sweeps the floor
Goodbye to you

She turns around with grace
Glacial tears pulled down by gravity
Mascara runs a marathon down her face
Hugs you one last time

You let her slip right through your fingers
Like running water
You tried to mold her in your hands
Like clay
You kept her broken and stole the pieces
Made her into a little r u n a w a y

Yet you laugh in the midst of all this
A fragile broken heart
Knowing that every cackle is only
Tearing her apart

Grim melody consumes the air
Vibrant, red hue
Long dress sweeps the floor
And she says, "Goodbye to you . . ."
