It's tough seeing life progress by
It's difficult watching your loved ones die
It's painful to grieve for multiple causes
It's depressing to count up all your losses

I really wish you weren't going to leave
And abandon me when I'm trying to grieve
It angers me more than you can believe
But I'm selfish for only thinking of me

I really wish you weren't painfully dying
I wish your spirit was soaring and flying
So these frustrated tears wouldn't keep crying
And to achingly continue, you wouldn't keep trying

I really wish you hadn't of moved on
"Best friends forever" - the label is gone
I ripped up the birthday cards that you had drawn
And silently cried from dusk until dawn

Some people move
Some people die
Some people forget you
Sometimes we don't know why
Sometimes it hurts the most
Just to see the days pass by
With the ones you loved so dear
Never close and never near
Never there from year to year
Causing sadness, causing tears
As the vital message appears
"Reality is nothing but fears"
