You're my best friend
Closer than my brother
Then you say you love me
But I thought you loved her?

You can't like me
You deserve perfection
I think everyone would agree
You'd never deserve my affections

But see, I don't love you
Not like that, at least
Just you being my best friend
That's all I could need

If you're supposed to be my fairytale
Why doesn't this feel like love?
I'm just sitting here, looking in your eyes
Shouldn't that be enough?

You have everything
I could ever want
But maybe you're so right
You're Mr. Wrong

Maybe we could try it
We have nothing to lose
But there's so much awkward tension
Don't you feel it too?

When I'm kissing you
There's no electricity
Couldn't we have just stayed friends?
I'm afraid we ruined a good thing

Back to friends we went
Even though you wanted to be so much more
Watching you unhappy because of me
Almost made me agree to be yours

If you're supposed to be my fairytale
Why doesn't this feel like love?
I'm just sitting here, looking in your eyes
Shouldn't that be enough?

You have everything
I could ever want
But maybe you're just so right
You're Mr. Wrong

And just when I think I could love you
You've moved on
