A dream is lost, all hope has waned
And all we've done has been in vain
This grueling weight I cannot take
I cannot wait 'til I awake
'Til reality takes away the unbearable pain

Where's the light? The hope? The truth?
Will the mouth of peace forever be mute?
These many hearts, once full of love
Long for that love they are now deprived of;
Long for the innocence of their youth.

The dreams of the captured lay far far away
Dreams of play and laughter and much better days
These dreams were taken, forcefully by hand
And locked up in a tower, and beaten, and-

A dream was lost, all hope has waned
The dejected few were defeated by shame
For the cursed select who cross that path
Well, let's all hope they make it back.
