Two steps are taken
I climb aboard
The small ship of one
A ship called the scale

The number flickers
Back and forth
I wait for my future
To see if I'm worth it

One hundred two
102
One hundred two
102

Hopes left crushed
Numbers are too gigantic
I'm needy for two digits
Three is appalling

My secret's not enough
More counting the calories
More garbage to take out
More burdens needed

I can only keep trying
To shed three pounds
Shed what defines me
But for now it's 102

That number is now burned
As an F on my report card
It's not the scale failing me
I'm failing the scale
