I think SwtChick is right.
I wrote an article about Why-Passes earlier, but that one didn't get in the news paper. I think that Why-Passes are an O.K. idea. Whyville needs a way of making money, because they have to pay bills too. And I think the idea of paying for Why-Passes in clams, that just isn't the best idea, because then everyone would have Passes and Whyville would be just as busy. Plus, then Whyville makes no money.
I wish that we could pay for Why-Passes in clams, but Whyville needs their money, too.

Hi people, this is 2hot4u82 talking. I think it's pretty cool having Why-Passes. I
know, I know, they cost money but ya know, very little in this world is actually free! It's not that
much money, and the people who run Whyville have to pay way more to keep it all going than we have to pay. It's not fair
to them!
There are so many fun things in Whyville and the makers of Whyville did
all this work just for us and it probably cost them thousands of dollars. You
only have to pay like 4.95 per month; now that's a good deal, if I say so myself.
Now, would you want Whyville to run out of money? You won't be able to go on
anymore then! I don't think anybody wants that.
You can still try to get on Whyville without a pass and still not pay, and maybe you'll get on, if you're lucky. But if you don't want a Why-Pass, you'd be missing out on so many things, like meeting new people, playing fun games, talking to your friends, earning clams, and then afterwards going shopping. Ya, fun things like that.
Well, this is what I wanted to say. Try it, just try it. I'm not making you or
anything, but if you don't try a Why-Pass, you'll be missing out on a lot of fun things.

I know lots of people think that Why-Passes are crazy and they cost too much... but look on the bright side!
I don't have a Why-Pass yet, but I'm trying to
convince my parents to let me get one. I am tired of waiting in the waiting room
for a spot to open up. I, like most other Whyvillians have very important things to
do. Like, collect our salaries or put a new item in our shop or maybe even check
our mail. Lots of Whyvillians don't like to wait but they don't want to get a
Why-Pass. But you can always bid on one. They don't cost that much if you bid on them.
The lowest price for a one-month Why-Pass is \$2.00. Most kids that I know, their normal
allowance is \$5.00, so we would have \$3.00 left. Unless you live in Canada like
me, then the numbers are a little different. But it still is affordable for a lot of us. And even if your parents don't give you an allowance, you could do jobs to get enough money. And think of it this way,
\$2-\$5.00 can give you 30-31 days of getting in without waiting.
So, I rest my case.

Hello, I am orange18. I have been with Whyville for about 6 months.
Recently I have noticed that Whyville's population is growing fast! It's
almost impossible for me to get on anymore.
I know how it is when your
parents only let you go on the internet for only so long and you waste
all of your time waiting to get on. But usually if you go on in the
mornings or at lunch time at school, you can get on without a Why-Pass.
And I'm sure you know how crowded Whyville is when you get on during the busy times. The Pool Party and all of the other hangouts are usually always packed. Imagine if everyone was let on all at once.... You get my drift. It would be a
total disaster! Usually you can't find anywhere to sit at the
hangouts.
But don't get mad at Whyville. Be happy this site even
exists. What if we didn't have Whyville? Then you wouldn't be able to
make a cool person and chat with all of your friends at the same time!
You wouldn't have the challenge of getting clams and buying your dream
accessories. I know I love this game and I wouldn't be too happy if
everyone was let on. There wouldn't be a point in the game. No room
for anyone!
Well, I hope everyone realizes how hard the City Managment
of Whyville is trying to make everyone happy.
