A single laugh in a echo of darkness,
Another one,
Yet this one not as loud,
A quiet night,
Or a quiet day?
May I ask,
If happiness isn't to be,
Would we be doomed in a dark alley?
But if that were to happen,
Would a single laugh light the way?
But that isn't to happen,
Because the sense of smell,
The sense of sight,
The sense of hearing,
The sense of taste,
The sense of anything,
Has been filled with sadness.
Yet,
We still try,
Try and try as we may,
It does no effort,
Until a single smile creeps upon a face,
Then comes the laugh,
It was as if,
There was never sadness!
It is gone,
We are free,
We are not sad,
No sadness to be!
To think the thing that saved us,
Was a friend,
A friend who was always there,
A friend who knew how to smile and laugh,
When we were all sad,
And thanks to that friend,
The world has found a new emotion.
An emotion that is yellow,
That is bright and smiley,
That makes a single tear,
Fall and go away.
What is this emotion?
What is this thing to be?
This emotion is not only for me,
It is for us,
and not us only,
The name you ask?
Well let's call it,
Happy.
