On this day, 10 years ago, a tragedy happened. All Americans joined together in support, to help each other get through the hard times that faced them. It was the day of 9/11, a day the Americans will never forget.

On this day, at 8:45 am, September 11th, 2001, it seemed like a normal day. Out of nowhere, a plane intentionally struck the first Twin Tower of the World Trade Center, in New York. At 9:03, a second plane struck the second Twin Tower of the World Trade Center. Around 2,600 people died from the attack at the towers, inside the towers, and on the ground.

There was another attack towards the Pentagon, and 125 people died from that, including military and civilians. An eyewitness declared, "I watched in horror as the plane flew at treetop level, banked slightly to the left, drug its wing along the ground and slammed into the west wall of the Pentagon exploding into a giant orange fireball. Then black smoke. Then white smoke."

There was 1 plane, Flight 93 filled with brave passengers who fought back to take control of the plane. They probably knew they were going to die, but wanted to do something so their deaths meant something to help America. That plane was targeted towards Washington D.C, but due to the heroic acts of these passengers, it instead crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.

Let us remember those who died during this time. Everyone take a moment of silence and think about the families, the fallen, and the day, and remember them. All of our loved ones, they are in our memories forever. Let us remember them as heroes, as a brave solider. God bless them, and God bless America.
