Often I can feel the end creeping near
As it twists and changes the world we love
Moments of hopelessness and pain appear
Altering our hope, or the lack thereof
I don't think we were meant for each other
We keep trying, failing; what is the use
There's got to be more for one another
Better options for each of us to choose
I think that I would be happy alone
Being by myself, holding my own hand
Distance between us has simply just grown
And this is my last and final demand
I still care for you and want you happy
But there is no us, and no you and me
