It's that time of year again, when love is in the air. Everywhere you will see stores packed with people buying cards, candy, flowers, balloons, and every sweet thing you can think of. But, what's the true meaning of Valentine's Day? Today, I will be interviewing four Whyville citizens, HopeLuvs, hoodIum, BUZZlN, and LoveAtWar.

kiwibomb: What do you think about Valentine's Day?

HopeLuvs: It's a wonderful day to show your loved ones that you love them, and it's a way to spend time together.
hoodIum: I love Valentine's Day, I know many people think it's overrated, but I love absolutely everything about it. It's a day to celebrate love and friendship with someone who is very special to you.
BUZZlN: I think Valentine's Day is a great day for people to express their love for each other. Whether in a relationship, a family member, or a friend.
LoveAtWar: I love Valentine's Day! I think it's a fun day if you have someone special to share it with. Except, I loved it when I was younger, because we would decorate shoe boxes in class, and your class mates would stick candy in your box for you. That was really fun!

kiwibomb: Which chocolate do you prefer, dark or milk chocolate?

HopeLuvs: Milk all the way! Dark is too . . . bitter for me. Sometimes certain chocolate companies have good dark chocolate, but if I grabbed a chocolate bar, it'd be milk chocolate.
hoodIum: Milk chocolate, although the kind of chocolate I would want on Valentine's Day would be chocolate syrup. I love chocolate milk, LoL.
BUZZlN: I prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate.
LoveAtWar: I definitely prefer milk chocolate!

kiwibomb: Do you have a special Valentine?

HopeLuvs: Nope, haha.
hoodIum: Yes, he's the best.
BUZZlN: If you mean special Valentine as in someone I am interested in, well no, because I find it hard for myself to express love on a card, or even at all.
LoveAtWar: Yes, I actually do, I have a boyfriend I have been with for just a little over 3 years now.

kiwibomb: What do you usually do with you sweetheart or with friends?

HopeLuvs: I usually just hang out with my friends, watch movies, eat chocolate and mingle!
hoodIum: It doesn't have to be anything fancy like a romantic dinner or anything, I'm fine with staying home and enjoying time with the person I am fond of.
BUZZlN: What I usually do with my sweetheart or friends is go to the movies. Sometimes I go on a date with my sweetheart and my best friend Jamie would also bring a date. When Valentine's Day comes around I always tell my best friend how much I appreciate her.
LoveAtWar: I usually spend the entire day with my boyfriend, he will plan dinner or something. I make him cook me dinner. I love just spending time together on a day like V-day.

kiwibomb: What would you change about Valentine's Day?

HopeLuvs: I would have it be longer. Valentine's Day would be 2-3 day, because it's so fun!
hoodIum: Absolutely nothing, unless everyone was willing to dress up as Cupid and run around all day, that would be quite amusing.
BUZZlN: I would change nothing about Valentine's Day, because everyone always has their own ways of celebrating things, so people just change it to what they prefer.
LoveAtWar: I would probably change the fact that there are a lot of single people out there, and they probably feel lonely on Valentine's Day. I think Valentine's Day should be a celebration of your love with someone else, or a celebration of independence, hehe. Some people enjoy being single and independent, but I'm not one of those people though.

Looks like everyone celebrates in their own special way. Happy Valentines Day!

See you next time,
-kiwibomb
