Even with a few days to soak it in, I'm still filled with the never-ending shock of getting this far into the senate race. Let's just say, I'M CRYING TEARS OF JOY! First off, I would like to thank all those who voted and/or supported me immensely, even though I can barely scratch the surface of my gratitude. I certainly wouldn't have made it this far without you! Before I go on about my updated ideas, I might as well introduce myself. My name is Daniel, and I've been an obsessed whyvillian since 2006. I've come to love this website and all the bits and parts that made it come together into what it now is.

Like most of the senators, I have a long list of ideas that I would like to see accomplished, but due to time restrictions, I'll single out the ideas that I think are more significant to be implemented. They are as followed:

Sending Parts/Whycash/ClamGram to those not in your friend list
An Organized Y-mail system
Checklist in Satchel
Designer Search
Update to FFV system
Buy Button In Akbar's
Group Whispering
New BBS tools
Personalization Features
Style Studio Improvements

Sending Parts/Whycash/ClamGram to those not in your friend list

This is probably one of my favourite ideas so far. Being able to ClamGram or send parts to Whyvillians that AREN?T in your friends list. For example, if you are just selling an item to a person, you wouldn't have to go with all the fuss of deleting a friend if you've reached your friend limit, by adding them, and then sending the part. You could just type in the name of the person you want to send a part to. This would make selling and sending parts much easier.

An Organized Y-mail system

An organized Y-mail system has been long awaited, and we still don?t have the proper organization we need in our Y-mail. This new system would feature 3 new folders consisting of, Sent, Deleted, and Drafts. In your sent folder, you would see all the mail you sent to your friends. In your deleted folder, would see all the mail that you deleted, and without doubt, in your drafts folder you would see the mail that you decided to come back to later, or didn?t finish writing. We could also create our own folders. This would be a neat little feature, because we could store our special, or important Y-mails in. Along with these features, we would also be able to send a y-mail to more than 1 person at the same time, to make it easier to send out a memo for a contest, a party, etc. This would be helpful because we wouldn't have to keep going back to the same mail and forwarding it to every person.

Checklist in Satchel

The ability to "check off" the number of parts you want to delete, or send in your Satchel. This would help when we're sending parts to a friend, or deleting no longer wanted parts, since we wouldn't have to do this one by one anymore. Of course, to make this process safe, we would have to use a secret code to access this feature, just like the why-cash system works.

Designer Search

Recently we received the ability to see the designer of our face parts in PYN, but what about in our Satchels, and Trading Post? Browsing through our Satchel/Trading Post would be much more helpful with a ?Designer Search? or ?Sort by Designer? feature. We would be able to type in the designer of the part we?re looking for it, and BOOM! It appears.

Update to FFV system

I think I?m speaking for all the very talented designers on Whyville here. We need a massive update to the current FFV system. This would consist of: changing our FFV size after we have already picked one, be able to use the eyedropper and paint-bucket tools in all designing scales, an important UNDO/REDO button, and perhaps pre-set shapes of hair, hat bases, etc.

Buy Button in Akbar's

A "buy" button in Akbar's would definitely be helpful. So when we're just buying one thing, we can quickly buy the part, and avoid our cart. This would also help us when buying parts that get sold out easily!

Group Whispering

Group whispering in chat would be very helpful to many of us. It is frustrating to hold a conversation you want private among multiple friends, so being able to whisper the same thing to more people at the same time in chat would be amazing!

New BBS tools

We are in need of some new BBS tools! I think it would be great to see a Bookmark tool. You would be able to "favourite/bookmark" a thread that you don't want to look for in the future, but want to follow it, and come back to it, and so on. Another long awaited feature is the ability to delete or edit your threads, or posts. This would be very helpful when selling face parts. For example, instead of having to keep on replying to your own thread, on the parts you sold and didn?t sell, you could just edit your first, main post, and go from there! A bookmark, delete and edit tools, would certainly help us all!

Personalization Features

The ability to personalize your Whyville page is very limited, as we may only change our main background. It would be cool, and unique to have the ability to customize our plain old, boring City Records page, with a cool background, new fonts, and various other details, for your friend?s to check out! Personalization could bring a whole new aspect to Whyville! Very fun!

Style Studio Improvements

Style Studio improvements are also one of the many things we need updated. This would include being able to set a price for selected parts, a clear button to start your makeovers more easily, and the option to "hide" parts you don't want to sell, or use.

Once again, I would like to thank you all for taking the time to re-read my refreshed ideas. With luck and hard work, these ideas will hopefully be accomplished. I would also like to wish the best of luck, to my fellow competitors: stELtrain, xoxkitkat, 0mgnick, ooooopppp, Amanda, and Laceychik! It would be a pleasure to work with any of you lovely folks. And yet again, you are now faced with the hard decision of who to choose to become your next senator. I, myself, had a great time campaigning, as well as achieving the spot of the top 7! I hope you'll take my ideas into consideration, and will *hover* your mouse?s over my name when it comes time to voting.

Have a great day,
Funkchik1
