PANDEMIC
You sat me in that beauty chair
Laughed and talked as you did my hair
We walked along the beach in Florida
Spending evenings in Sarasota
We did this because your last wish was
to walk along the gold beach with us
Your sickness was a snowball rolling down a hill
It kept rolling until it got to kill
by your hospital bed I sat
Your hands were deflated and flat
You passed as an angel, bathed in white
I stayed with you all through the dark night
The serpent never got to you
You're balanced like the number two
I will say my final goodbyes
seal the package and tie the ties
Grandma, you are always in my heart
from the sad ending back to the start
