It comes around every four years, and each time it brings excitement, competition, victories and disappointments. The Summer Olympics are truly spectacular, and something that I personally look forward to!

The London 2012 Olympics start on July 27th and end on August 12th. Thousands of athletes have been training their whole lives for this opportunity. The chance to compete at the highest level possible, showcase their skills, and bring home a medal. But the Olympics are about more than winning. They are about representing your country with grace and honor. And while we are all competing against each other, the Olympics are about the entire world coming together to celebrate the human spirit.

My favorite sports to watch are gymnastics, diving, swimming, and track and field. I can't wait to watch the gymnasts flip, twist, and spin around the various apparatuses. The divers show incredible grace and control as they flawlessly enter the water. Swimmers bring out the suspense as they race to the wall with only hundredths of seconds separating the winners. And track and field . . . going back to the earliest sporting event of them all - running. It is truly amazing to see the human body pushing itself to its fullest potential.

There are so many fascinating personal interest stories. From first time competitors facing off against the best there is, to returning champions overcoming disappointing past performances or injuries.

My challenge to all of our writers out there is this: find the stories and share them. This is the first time in history that every country will have women competing. Or how about Oscar Pistorius, a double amputee, who will run on South Africa's 4x400 relay team. As the games go on, there will be many amazing stories to tell, and we want to read about them.

Who will you be rooting for? What are you favorite sports to watch? Sound off in the BBS.
