I watch as the clock ticks life away
Slowly slowly, day by day.
It's almost sad to see time go.
But the clock keeps ticking it will never slow.

People say time waits for no man.
This is the greatest truth in the world,
for if your poor, rich or sick time still fly's ever so quick.

Cherish every moment you have,
you never know when your next breath is your last.
And you can't sit under your bed all your life.
Hoping and praying death won't find you tonight.

What do have to show for your life?
By the time you waste away on the day you die.
Did you help people?
Or did you just walk by the man with the mug that didn't have a dime?

It's a natural thing for humans you see.
We want to think life stops when we do.
But this is a dream that will never be true.
Life will keep going whether you and I are dead.

But isn't it comforting knowing the people you love can sleep in a bed?
Isn't it comforting that their safe and alive?
Does it make you feel better that they can open there eyes?
That they can still cry?

If today was your last and you knew it was too,
Tell me dear friends what would you do?
