This is it; I've made my choice
It's time to unleash my tongue and voice
Who cares about stereotypes?
Or what you'll think of me
I refuse to continue living this life
Being who you think I should be
I believe in a higher being for I believe in God
He is my savior, and any other is a fraud
Perhaps you'll think I'm delusional
Perhaps you'll think I'm odd
But my point here is short and simple:
I believe in God
The symbol hanging by my necklace
on my beating chest
Indicates my faithful love for Him
I believe that He's the best
And every night I pray to Him
as the sun sets west
It is clear that to His name
I shall always show respect
I believe it is due to God's Grace
That the sun shines upon my face
And eats away my sorrow
I believe that it is because of Him
I find my place
And have high hopes for tomorrow
You may believe otherwise, and to me that is fine
You may follow your beliefs, and I will follow mine
But I believe in a higher being; I believe in God
He is my savior, and any other is a fraud
Perhaps you'll think I'm delusional
Perhaps you'll think I'm odd
But my point here is short and simple:
I believe in God
