I'd be a complete liar
If I said I didn't care
If I claimed I did not miss
The memories we share
If I said I didn't mean
The times I spoke my heart
If I said that I forgive you
For tearing me apart
You know I loved you very much
Far more than I could say
But that didn't really mean a thing
To you anyways . . .
I have missed you long and hard
I miss your best, I miss your worst
I miss you like the rain that falls
November thirty-first And even though I loved you so
I could not seem to win
I've faded into nothing
The way you said we should have been
And though autumn's very far away
My heart won't stop its breaking
I feel like laying in the leaves
And cry instead of raking
I miss your smile, miss your laugh
I miss your best, your worst
I miss you like the rain that falls
November thirty-first
And even though I loved you so
I've drifted in the wind
And like this poem I choke out
We reached a sudden end
