There was a girl,
who loved a boy.

But the boy only thought of her as a toy.
She played along with his game.
Never even glanced at him with blame.

So every lie.
Every broken promise.
Each fight.
Every time he would misbehave.
She forgave.

Trapped under his spell, like a little bird inside a lions' jaws.
How long till she broke free no one could tell.
Never - she was the only one who knew.
The curse was to powerful.
It was the curse of love.

Always the curse would linger in her heart.
Still remaining, never apart.
He mind would never be free.
All thanks to he.

And so after he left.
She spent years in her grave, where she wept.

He had been a player of hearts.
Dancing from one to the next.
Casting the dreaded curse from one to another.
Leaving each heart broken.
With painful remains.

It was only when the curse hit him,
That he realized the power it had.
The pain it could cause.
The pain was more than just a tad.

Only then does one realize,
The power.
The pain.
The potential.
Of the dreaded curse of love.
