Hi Whyvillians,

I started these prompts with the hopes of inspiring our writers to submit more articles. I hope that you all are taking these into consideration. I have not seen many articles written with these prompts, so I may not continue if it does not start to pick up. I really hope it does!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

I was a film and television major in college and to me there is nothing better than relaxing with a bucket of popcorn and watching a movie. I've loved movies since I was a kid. There's something so fascinating about the ability to take a story and bring it to life on the screen. My favorite movie of all time is "Casablanca". I love the story, the acting, the music, just everything is amazing. It inspires me to be a better person. What is your favorite movie? Do you think movie's can have a social impact? Is the medium of film going downhill, is it still rising, or is it at its peak?

Learning to Fly

September 25th was my dad's birthday. My dad was always one of my biggest supporters. We used to listen to the Sara Evan's song "Born to Fly" together. He always encouraged me to reach for the stars. Do you have someone in your life that is always encouraging you and supporting you? What does it mean to you to have that person? Where do you find the strength to pursue your dreams? How do you show that person that you appreciate them too?

I Pledge Allegiance

My brother recently got engage to his amazing girlfriend Zoe. She is from China and absolutely wonderful. Right now she is in American on a student visa. But she is graduating soon that is going to expire. They are very excited to get married and are hoping it can help her get a green card. But immigration in American is very complicated. It is not black and white and there are a lot of theories on what is the right answer. What are your thoughts on immigration? Do you think the United States is too strict or too lenient? Are you an immigrant and what are your experiences going through that challenge?

I hope these prompts inspire you all. Please respond in the BBS if you'd like me to continue. Happy writing!
