You know that moment when you feel your heart breaking?
That horrid feeling as your body starts shaking?
Those nasty seconds you feel at your worst?
Starting the moment you notice at first
Something has wounded you deep within
The very moment those words left him
You can feel your heart crumble, you feel it sink
The moment gets to you and impairs how you think
It's like icicles are flowing straight through your blood
And melt by hot fury - threatening to flood
You just feel like screaming and shouting in pain
It's the most horrible feeling a life can contain
It's the moment you realize that something is ending
Like losing a game and regretting attending
How dare he do that - how dare this occur?
He loved you so much and you just were so sure
He gave you great joy and he gave you much bliss
Yet somehow your love amounted to this
This is the moment you'll remember 'til death
It'll flash through your mind as you take your last breath
It's how completely heart-breaking life can be
And how when never healed, it leaves you empty
