I'm living in a place where I don't even belong
I'm singing in his face, I don't even know the song
It's not that I don't, I can't or I won't
Great thought, it helps me be someone I'm not

I'm sleeping in a bed that gives me horrible nightmares
I'm hearing what you said but I don't comprehend your swears
It's everything I can even think
But then again, it was
Great thought, it helps me be someone that I'm not

My left hand feels unwanted because I'm not ambidextrous
My mother isn't either, so she just chooses between us
I shouldn't be complaining, she still fed me and she bathed me
Great thought, it helps me be someone I'm not

A solemn dream awakes me, I am shocked I was not dead
I wish I'd have stayed asleep, maybe that was just the end
I'll keep my problems to myself, not one will escape from my mouth
Will things change again, will I be one of them?
Great thought, it helps me be someone that I'm not.
